Sunday School Lesson for the week of August 7th, 2022

Hello Everyone,

In the Lesson this week Spirit, it talks about the Spirit of God dwelling in you and Christ Jesus said, “…behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” * When reading about this it said that God is in your heart and that means all good is near you and anything not good or unlike God cannot come near you. Christ Jesus also gave us the beatitudes which we started last week and will continue from Matthew 5 in your Bible:

Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy. When you are kind as well as forgiving you will be shown kindness and forgiveness too.

Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. When you want to be like Christ Jesus and change anything in you that is not good. This is being faithful to God and you will see all good, just like God.

Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God. When you live in peace and do good to others you are being the child of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. When you are treated badly or suffer because you have done right you have the kingdom of heaven with you forever.

Did you know that “blessed” also means happy! The beatitudes like the Ten Commandments are things for all of us to use each day to keep us close to God and therefore happy and healthy.
