Sunday School Lesson for the week of July 31st, 2022

Hello Everyone,

LOVE is the Lesson Sermon this week and in Matthew 5 it tells how we are to love not only those who love us , but to love those people who don’t love us. The Bible uses the word “enemies” ; which means anyone who is unkind, not fair, nasty or grouchy with you. Matthew 5 is also the chapter where you can find the beatitudes that we talked about. Let’s think about the first four today:
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. This is when you realize that you need God’s help in your life every day.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Whenever you are sad Christ Jesus will comfort you.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Meek is gentle not weak and you will be rewarded for your gentleness.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they will be filled. Happy are you when you want to do right and know God. He will give you everything you need.
Christ Jesus taught these beatitudes so everyone could learn them and be happy! Matthew, his disciple (student), wrote them down for us so that these wonderful teachings wouldn’t get lost.

Have a happy beatitude week!
